Tuckahoe, New York (February 24, 2014) - PTI Inspection Systems will exhibit at the following two PDA Events:
Parenteral Packaging Exhibition and Conference, March 11-13, 2014 in Brussels, Belgium – PTI Booth 10
The PDA Europe conference on parenteral packaging is designed to bring together pharmaceutical industry professionals in parenteral package-related areas of production, research, regulatory, and quality, in addition to package component suppliers, package assembly vendors, and pack-aged-product testing equipment vendors. The conference agenda promis-es to provide attendees with updates on current and emerging technology and regulations, as well as allow opportunities for discussion and network-ing with colleagues. Attendees to this conference will be armed with useful and practical information that can be applied immediately. For complete agenda, click here.
PDA Annual Meeting, April 7-9, 2014, JW Marriott Hill Resort, San Antonio, Texas - PTI Booth 605
The PDA Annual Meeting theme is “Biopharmaceutical and Sterile Pharmaceutical Manufacturing – Embracing Innovation to Meet Global Challenges.” Manufacturing technologies are changing rapidly in response to new regulations, require-ments and capabilities. Visit PTI at these events to learn about the latest developments and current best practices of container closure integrity testing technologies for parenterals. PTI’s featured technologies will be Vacuum Decay Leak Testing and High Voltage Leak Detection (HVLD).
Heinz Wolf, general manager of PTI Inspection Systems, commented, "Case studies in the field of container closure integri-ty using VeriPac vacuum decay technology have proven it is an effective non-destructive leak test method to inspect phar-maceutical packaging. This technology has been widely recognized in published literature by the PDA, ASTM as well as the U.S. FDA regulatory guidance and consensus standards. High Voltage Leak Detection (HVLD) technology has been very suc-cessful in the pharmaceutical industry for micro leak testing liquid filled products such as ampoules, vials, BFS containers, pre-filled syringes and IV bags. The HVLD test method ensures product seal integrity by identifying small pinholes, micro cracks and seal imperfections. HVLD can also be easily migrated from the laboratory offline to 100% inline testing applica-tions at high production speeds. This is a huge advantage and overall simplifies the inspection and validation process."
